JOB SUMMARY

Purpose:

nbsp;

Theposition, reporting to the Engineering Manager, leads the Civil and StructuralGroup to ensure that the function meets successfully the business objectives,including the effective support of bid and project execution. Accountable forthe successful execution of the engineering and design functions within thedirect reporting lines, whether the work is executed internally or externally.

nbsp;

Dimensions:

nbsp;Responsible for managing and supervising internalengineering and design team, providing support for Indian and Global projects5-10 (reports)

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Responsiblefor delivering civil amp; structural scope of approx. ~20,000 hours annually

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;LeadEngineer for specific projects.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Meetcorporate, global engineering personnel and process safety goals

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Resourceand workload planning for the Civil and Structural group.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Supportof Bid development including production of Civil and Structural man hour estimatesand working with global and regional teams.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Ensurecivil amp; structural design carried out is safe and in accordance withproject specifications amp; standards

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Wherethe Civil and structural scope is outsourced to a local engineering Company,develop the scope definitions, design philosophies and establish controls forquality of the outsourced deliverables.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Driveefficiency, quality and performance of the civil and structural group.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Actsas the technical authority for resolution of Civil and Structural design issues.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS amp;QUALIFICATIONS

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Shallhold a civil or structural engineering degree and desirable be a CharteredEngineer with an internationally recognized Institution

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Havea minimum of 10 plus years experience within the civil and structural field,preferably within the Process Industry.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Excellentwritten and spoken English and strong communication skills.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Musthave a broad civil and structural knowledge of engineering practices, detail design, using international codes and standards, procedures and specifications.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Musthave hands on experience of using global codes and standards such as nbsp; AISC, ACI, IBC,,ASCE, Eurocodes.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Musthave hands on experience in the detail design of steel structures – modules/frameassemblies, piperacks, support frames to equipment and compressor Buildings.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Musthave extensive experience of dynamic foundations such as compressors and detaildesign for equipment foundations such as cooling towers, elevated storage tanksand tall slender structures.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Someknowledge of building services for occupied plant buildings would be anadvantage.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Broadexperience in the detail design of underground gravity drainage systems wouldbe an advantage.

· nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp; nbsp;Beenin a management position to resource and plan the activities of a civil team ona major project. Able to lead, motivate and supervise a team of engineers anddesigners to achieve the project deadlines. Experience of working with differentcultures in different parts of the world nbsp;is desired.
